Paraty Resort, Paraty, Brazil
The historical coastal town of Paraty is an IPHAN registered national heritage site and is a candidate to become a world heritage site as recognized by UNESCO. It is located on one of the most beautiful coastlines in Brazil nestled between Rio de Janeiro & Sau Paulo. This protected historic town also marks the starting point of an important historic gold trail to Ouro Preto, now a popular hiking route. These factors makes Paraty a significant domestic and international tourism destination. While preserving the property’s natural landscape, a secluded Five Star Boutique Resort is located at the heart of the community with close proximity to a world class Symposium Centre, the Imperial Museum and the Imperial Gardens & Visitor Centre as well as many festive dining and shopping venues. With an emphasis on maintaining the property’s mature woodland landscape the resort’s master plan and architectural forms are interpretations of the traditional building layouts and materials of Paraty. Resort suites are one and two storey buildings with plunge pools positioned around small wooded cobblestone courtyards. All guestrooms have tranquil woodland views or overlook one of the two signature swimming pool gardens. Designed as an extension of the resort there are an additional fifty-one Branded Villas located in a luxuriously landscaped organic village. A network of trail routes and wooded pathways meander through the resort’s villas and guestrooms, leading to key resort amenities and the Imperial Gardens. |
